About the author...
I live in Erie, Pennsylvania with my family, close to my friends and extended family, which are a big part of my life. I have spent the first thirty-four years of my life in western Pennsylvania. I love the atmosphere of the region from the cities to the mountains. I find myself most comfortable with the familiar and often am caught off-guard by the unexpected.
Having said that, my dogs keep me off-guard as much as they possibly can and being the owner of several dogs, mostly large breeds, I am always up for a challenge. I have also been a part of a professional K-9 search and rescue group for four years and an EMT volunteer for six years adds to the experience of being prepared and learning to expect the unexpected. Dogs have played an important role in my life, this is why I started writing and from where I draw my inspiration. I teach my dogs and in return I learn more than they do.
Learning in life is a continual process which extends beyond high school and post-secondary education. My education has consisted of an Accounting Degree (Tri-State Business Institute) as well as Sociology studies at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. The personal attainment of social academics is to have open-mindedness regarding our society. By profession I work in medical insurance billing and have worked in the medical field for the last fifteen years, but at heart I love to read, write, and learn. I strive to convey my writing towards social issues and their effects on everyday normal people, the contributors in society, you!
